Thought of the Week

The hidden cost of always saying yes

Always saying yes can come at a cost. When we constantly put others first, we risk neglecting our own needs, increasing stress and losing touch with what truly matters to us.

Saying no does not make you selfish. It means recognising your limits and respecting your wellbeing. Healthy boundaries protect your energy, support your mental health and allow you to give to others without losing yourself in the process.

Before agreeing to something, pause and ask yourself – Am I saying yes because I genuinely want to, or because I fear disappointing someone?

Your wellbeing matters too. You can care deeply for others without putting yourself last. 🧡
