How to stop apologising for taking up space

Taking up space does not mean demanding attention or putting yourself before others. It means allowing yourself to have a voice, express your needs and be seen without feeling the need to apologise. Many of us learn to make ourselves smaller to keep others comfortable. Over time, that can quietly weaken our self belief. You do not need to earn the right to be heard or belong. Start by noticing when you say sorry for simply being yourself, then pause and ask whether an apology is really needed. You are not too much for taking up space. You are simply learning to stop making yourself smaller to make others comfortable.🧡
